Friendship Is Essential To the SOUL!!!!

Basileus Dr. William A. Smith's Welcome

Basileus Smith sitting

On behalf of the members of IOTA IOTA IOTA Chapter (Tri Iota), Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., home of the "The Shooting Star Chapter," it is my distinct honor and pleasure to welcome you to our chapter website.
Our website provides you with information pertaining to our members, community based programs and fundraising events that are designed to service the community within which we live.  As the lone chapter, Tri Iota has proudly and consistently served the states of Utah and Idaho for over 24 years.  It is our commitment to make a profoundly positive impact on the communities we serve through projects in the areas of social action, education, health initiatives and economic empowerment.  Due to our community’s small African American population and relatively large African immigrant population we believe our presence is vital to promote the positive impact of African American males in the community, educate our community in a variety of areas and tie our communities together over a greatly dispersed area.
Tri Iota is a proud member of the 12th District.  Tri Iota is a small chapter that accomplishes big things. Brothers are actively involved in many facets throughout the city.  A number of brothers are members of the military stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, UT and Ft Douglas in Salt Lake City.  Others hold prominent positions in education and medicine with the University of Utah and other institutions of higher education.  Brothers serve in leadership roles with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah.  The chapter partnerships with local middle schools to mentor young people, sponsors back to school events that provide students in need with school supplies, and members mentor minority males of a number of ethnic backgrounds monthly.  The brothers in the chapter are truly making a difference in our community, work place, and in our beloved fraternity in support of our cardinal principles; Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. We will remain consistent and committed to being leaders of change.
Thank you for visiting our website, God bless you and your family and long live The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.

"Omega's Shooting Star!"
